An open request, Help if you can
. . Contributed By Chaplain Howard Flexer On Monday, May 22, 2000
I have visited VA hospitals and found that the prices our Veterans have to pay for little things like sodas, coffee, snacks Etc.are too high from those local venders. I ask you to contact them in your hometown and ask them to give our veteran a break. If anyone of us should get one they do! I find that they are in need of everyday things like Shave cream, tissues, stamps, writing equipment. If you can help take alittle time out and do what you can. I bring all those things when I go to show them that we do care and did not forget them. God bless you for helping. Chaplain Howard Flexer

Sgt.Elvis Osborne, born 10/19/51 in Dallas, Texas, died 07/09/72 in Binh Duong, South Vietnam, this message is from an old classmate. My niece visited Washington D.C/ and found your name on the WALL for me. I feel so saddened to know that you never reached your full potential or your dreams. I feel sad for all the young men who have died for our country. I applaud your dedication and honor to our country. If anyone served with him or knew him, I would love to hear from you.

Thomas Andrew Guenther, with love, your family
. . Contributed By Mandi On Tuesday, May 23, 2000
I never met Tommy. He was my father's cousin. I always looked up to him and his fellow soldiers. I always wished I could have met him. He was a piolet of a helicopter and crashed Feb. 14, 1970. He was only 19 years old and still had his whole life a head of him. Just like many of the other soldiers, it was tragically taken from him and left his family with much grief. I wanted to say thank you to all the soldiers who fought in Vietnam. We love you Tommy and the rest of the soldiers. Love The Family

MEMORIAL DAY is personal
. . Contributed By Chaplain Howard Flexer On Friday, May 26, 2000
To all those like myself who find this day personal as we remember those whom have died besides us. I offer my prayers for them and our fellow Veterans gone now. May they know that you live for them in all you do.They are proud of you, as you are of them. Know that if they were here now, that friend for life you'd have. In death that friend you'll meet again. God Bless Chaplain Flexer
