Searching for photos. . . Contributed By Martine TRAN On Tuesday, June 28, 2005 Hi, I'm 19 and I'm vietnamiese but I'm living in France (so don't pay attention to my bad english). I don't know if I can ask you this question but I can try. I want to find a site where I could meet american ex-servicemen (through letters or e-mails) who were in the south vietnam during the Vietnam war. You should wonder why do I need to do that ? Shortly, on day my mother told me that my grand-uncle lived in a beautiful house, and the americans soldiers who went in front of this house, took a lot of photos. In my family in France, no one has a photo of this house and no one knows if it still exists. Is it possible to have an adress of an association or a site where I can do my researches ? If you can help me, please contact me with my e-mai. Thanks.

Sharing a Sad Story. . . Contributed By Ronald G. Thomas On Wednesday, June 29, 2005 A few weeks ago, I finally found the family of a good buddy of mine who was killed less than 100 yards away from me , in So. Vietnam, 1968. {Army} 2nd. / 25th. Inf. The daughter of this solider was very blessed to hear from me, but the wife, who had never re-married, and still carried his name {Story} was too shaken to speak w/ me at that time. They were married young and were soul-mates and it was truly a real love story. I hope that in time, she will call or write me, so i can answer any questions she has , re; his last day and how it was spent, as he served to do his duty there. My time here is nearly spent, as i have a terminal liver cond. and hope to see all the good buddies i served w/ soon! What a great reunion it will be! God Bless.all you Vet's .
Thanks for preserving our freedom . . Contributed By MSG Donald H. Pruitt, US Army Retired On Sunday, July 03, 2005 I want to thank two of my favorite people, 1SG Pascal Poolaw and SFC Billy Charles, US Army heroes who gave their lives during the Vietnam War. They were brave soldiers who never lived to grow old, but died fighting for the country they loved. I served with them and have the utmost respect for these warriors. May God bless them and the United States of America.
INDEPENDENCE DAY 2005 . . Contributed By SEMPER FI On Monday, July 04, 2005 Today, patriotism runs high and we thank and honor those soliders in harms way in Iraq and Afghanistan. Many, many Americans wave the flag, many fly the flag in their front yards, many have car bumper stickers of the flag. All in the name of Freedom. All this was not afforded to the Vietnam Veteran on his return. Maybe today, those on the WALL, will be truly remembered as "fighters of freedom". Memorial Day and Veterans' Day are days to remember the veteran, but the Fourth of July is for celebration of FREEDOM. And who protects that freedom, the armed forces and men like those on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. Lest we Forget. They gave their all for us.
