Who was he/What did his family get told? . . Contributed By Dick"Doc" Rebischke FO mortar platoon B co 6/31st On Wednesday, July 05, 2000 It was the night of 4May/5May 68 at dirty little supportbase(Smoke?)southwest of Saigon. We got hit in the middle of the night and this guy came running toward me and got hit with a mortar round as they "walked" the mortars in and came thru the wire and over the berm. He was with me and no one else and I don't know his name. I was with the 9th Inf. I don't know when he would have been sent home or registered as KIA because I got evac'd. I just know I was with him trying to drag him to cover. |
