Johnny Delbert Swann of Atlanta, GA was killed at Tay Ninh on Sept. 5, 1969. He was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division (AMBL). Sixteen other men were killed at Tay Ninh on that day. Hi, My name is Debra, and my Dad, Darrell Gehrke (Army) was killed in Binh Long in December 1967 when I was 7 years old. I have precious few memories of him, and would be thrilled to communicate with anyone that knew him. I know that he was with another soldier who stepped on a mine, that soldier survived (but lost a leg). Please if you know either one of them, contact me. Unfortunately my Mother had divorced my Dad before he was killed, and has told me literally nothing, and most of his family keep pretty quiet.Thank you, and God Bless you All!

I'm looking for anyone who knew my half-brother Bobby. I am his half-sister and finally found him on the Vietnam Wall. I would love to hear from anyone who knew Bobby in his short time here on earth. hello all and happy holidays : ) I am searching for anyone who knew a soldier that is listed on the wall. His name is Abelardo Vera. He was a SGT for the Army; 82nd Airborned division; from brownsville texas; died on March 20, 1968 in Thua Thien South Vietnam. I am an photography art major and very and am trying to do an art project for my photography class. I know his family and i have gotten their consent to do this.
