im trying to locate someone who knew my grandfather.maybe some troops who served with him his name was cyril stirnkob he was known as bud.he was in the united states army his birthday was oct 17 1927 he passed in aug of 1967 in vietnam i believe he was a e7 im trying to give my son who is named after him some history on him. i wasn't even born yet my mom was only 12 yrs old.he was from ohio my grandmothers name is edith stirnkob they had 7 childern ibelieve he was station in fort hood tx. someone please help me my email address simmonsbooop@aol.com

I served with 2/5 Marines 1966-67 with Echo Co, I have written a book which includes two medal of honor winners, Melvin Newlin and James Graham, the book tells about combat and the 11 major operations I was in , also serving with me were 4 other men from my home town.

Still looking for anyone who served with 1Lt. Curtis Challberg in the 1st AVN BDE during May, 1969 to August, 1969 when he was killed in a helicopter crash in Viet Nam. We have heard from a couple people who went to OCS with him and are so grateful for the information and are interested to know more - didn't get much information when he died. robert, i remember you from freddys candy store in summit. john bird, jim scutier and dennis baxter all from summit also died. i was there in 66-67 and god was with me and i came back. i know god is with all of you.
