JESUS VASQUEZ CPL MARINE MCAS EL TORO
. . Contributed By CLARA RAMIREZ On Monday, July 29, 2002
My dad Jesus Vasquez served in Nam from 67-69. He was Marine. Although my dad made it back Nam took him on 5/31/2002. Some say that they were lucky to make it back. as for my dad, eventhugh its hard to say, I sometimes wish he would of died in Nam. He suffered all these years from the memories he had of Nam. My dad was just a kid, how could the government send these innocent kids to war. They were just babies. Nam ruined my dads life. He has now left his wife behind, five kids , nine grand-children. I miss my dad so much. The last place my dad was at was MCAS El Toro, Santa Ana. He served in Nam from 67-69. His friend Jose Luis Salazar died in Nam. My dad also mentioned a couple of ohter names Cecil Byrd, Lozano, Bradswell. If anyone know him or any of these guys please contact me via email. I love you DAD. Love Your Daughter Clara.

Perhaps this will help some
. . Contributed By Chaplain Howard Flexer On Thursday, August 01, 2002
I see many who visit this board are looking for as much about their loved ones and Vietnam from others who knew them. I offer my view of vietnam at our site at www.geocities.com/chaplainflexer2002 It's called "Vietnam War Veterans Flagstaff & Memorial" I have been told by many fellow Vietnam Veterans that what I've written was the way they felt. I've always thought "I knew them all, yet I knew none". If you can list what unit they served with if known it would make a big difference. Email me if it is easier to get site address. With God, Then&Now Chaplain Howard Flexer USMC 64/67 Vietnam 65/66

Naval Gun Fire School - Subic Bay 1976
. . Contributed By Rick McCoy On Friday, August 02, 2002
I am looking for anyone who served in this school and can verify that there were gun ships qualifying in and around Subic Bay in 1976. I need information on the incident that involved a misfire during radar beacon exercise leaving SGT R. N. McCoy and caused him ear damage. The Radio Operator was CPL Reitzel and the Phillipine Constabulary on the OP where LT Walsh and CPL Scroggins were all there. If possible, does anyone remember the name of the ship that was qualifying that day or any other information you might have. Please e-mail me at twobears@getgoin.net Thanks Rick McCoy
