A smartly dressed business man walked down the row of names on The Wall.At the end,he sighed and said"Heros all,who died in that faraway land."Returning home he came upon a bumb eating out of a trash can.Through the dirt and filth of the bumbs fatig jacket he could see,that he wore a CIB."Please" the man said "let me buy you somthing to eat."After filling his belly the bumb began to tell how bravly he fought in that place called Vietnam.Returning home as proud as could be,to a world he no longer belonged.Wondering the streets tormented and alone.Loosing family,friends and home.With a far away look in his eye he said"a meny a nite I prayed to make it out alive,now I wish I had died"Fealing sad the bumb got up to leave,and the man said"o-by-the-way who are you"with a tear in his eye the bumb turned and said"I'm Nobodies Hero son thats who I am"---little known fact from the VA-over 100,000 brothers and sisters have commited suacide--Phillip williams Vietnam 67-70

he is my father. he served dec24th 1969-nov11th 1970.specialty wireman 36k20. basic training company c 6th battalion 2cnd bregade. he was in Hue Da Nang, Quinhon, Nha Trang, Bien Hoa. He said he spent alot of time in saigon ( horny harriet's). He had a few people sign a book. Does anyone know or served with Kevin Aldam at Quang Ngaiin June 1969? He was a good friend and we volunteered for the draft in November 1968. I got my orders for Nam and the day I got home I received a call telling me he was killed on June 27,1969. Anyone who served with him can send me e-mail

I LOST MY DAD ON 5/31/02. HE SERVED IN NAM FROM 67-69 HE WAS A MARINE. BEFORE I FATHER DIED MY MOTHER FILLED OUT PAPERS FOR BENEFITS ON HEP C. UNFORTUNATELY MY DAD DIED THREE DAYS LATER AND I WAS TOLD THAT SINCE HE DIED BEFORE THE CLAIM COULD BE SETTLED HIS CASE WOULD BE CLOSED. I WAS TOLD ALL WE COULD DO NOW IS TRY AND GET REIMBURSEMENT FOR FUNERAL EXPENSES. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS CORRECT. IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT MY DAD GAVE HIS LIFE FOR HIS COUNTRY AND ALL HE GETS OUT OF IT IS A MARKER TO MARK WHERE HE NOW LAYS AT. I ALSO WANTED INFORMATION ON THE MOVING WALL, WHAT IS THEIR SCHEDULE OF STOPS. I LOVE AND MISS MY FATHER. MY KIDS MISS THEIR GRANDPA AND ALL THE BBQ'S. looking for family or kin of eusebio solis. was with him when he died on may1,1968. would like to talk to family,if possible. have looked for info. from other sources,nothing helped out. he was from the san jose, calif. area. visited his mother and father after i came home from vietnam.lost contact.
