VietNam Veterans . . Contributed By Christine Davis On Saturday, February 22, 2003 For all the Veterans that do visit this page I wanted to say THANK YOU for serving our country! I have made it a mission in my live to thank all the veterans that I come across. The ones I see in person I shake their hand. The ones that lost their lives in the war are always in my thoughts. I worked with a man that served in Nam and I shook his hand on Veterans day and thanked him for serving our country. His wife told me the next day I made him cry. The reason being he told me that was the first time in 27 years that he was back on this soil that anyone reconized him. To this this day I still call him on Veterans day and thank him. THANKS AGAIN men and women that served and not everyone feels the way some of the others do. You did what you had to do! It was war! |

Does anyone know? . . Contributed By Dan Amick On Sunday, February 23, 2003 A very good friend of mine is on his death bed this morning. He keeps asking us to bring him his "3 9's" or "three nines". We have no idea what he means by this but believe it has something to do with his time in Vietnam. If anyone has any ideas please email me asap. |

PBS Program about WWII and my view . . Contributed By Chaplain Howard Flexer On Monday, February 24, 2003 The first & formost thing that hit me was How alike those Combat Veterans View was as us later on War Veterans. They could have been letters from anyone of us who went that route. My wife kept telling me not to watch it as she know only too well how my sleep is affected. Somehow I just had to watch if for nothing else to re-enforce my view that only the locations have changed. The Iwo part was the hardest to deal with as well as all the islands that looked so much like Vietnam. My respect and admeration goes to all my Fellow MARINES who were there! May God Bless you for being here to share your love with our great country and our Greater Corps. My feeling have been with you from my Boot Camp days and I hope I've carried your honor with me to Vietnam. I hope that my following those of you who went before me leads those after me to just as proud! SEMPER FI! With God, Then&Now Chaplain P.S. As a MARINE please understand that my love is for All Combat Veterans |

Lt Don Eatock . . Contributed By Tim Bischoff On Tuesday, February 25, 2003 Does anyone know a Lt Don Eatock. He would of served around 1969 or 70. A friend of mine was pen pals with him when she was in the sixth grade. The school had a pen pal program at that time for kids to write letters to soldiers, but the school has no records of that. They corresponded about six times, but then the letters stopped. She would like to know what became of him. Thanks. |
