Christmas Eve 1966 Chu Lai . . Contributed By Mike Duncan On Thursday, July 10, 2003 A night I have lived with for 35 years. I was in a hole gaurding the perimiter along with many others. I remember 25 holes about 100 yards apart, all linked by PRC10 radio's. Some joked over the air, some sang Christmas carols, others just said they wished they were home. Then the crackle, "Someone's coming over the wire". Flares shoot up, gun fire, more flares and it's all over. A unit goes out and finds a Marine on the wire. Trying to get back with Christmas presents he bought in the Vil. I need to try and find out who this Marine was, what town, family, etc. Please help if you can.
