John L. Banks and David L. Banks were brothers both killed in Vietnam they are not listed in the brothers section one was usaf the other usmc the American Legion in my hometown is named after them the town is superior wisconsin, please include them in the brother section

Looking for Capt.Murphy of the B trp. 7/17 Cav. Blues Infantry Plt. Combat action on July 14 1969/ From the 13 men insertion to having only 4 that came out of that firefight,,known name Philip Petsos KIA. I held the Capt.on the chopper bk.to camp Holloway hosp.Pleiku. Would like to find this man for closure to a long unforgotten day. I also have the names of those on the insertion that day. Troop CO. I am looking for Robert Vatale (Infantryman) Pat Bouska (Infantryman) and Thomas J. Sulik (Medic). These soldiers served with Co D, 5th Bn 46th Inf. 198th Infantry Brigade, Americal Division during 1969 - 1970. If anyone knows how to contact these guys, please let me know.

The format may be new....but the heart of the message center is the same. It is a place to try and touch some of those that were lucky enough to come home, and to say Thank You and also to those that paid the ultimate price. Our country turned a blind eye to that war generation, there were no parades, flags waving or even a thank you to those that did come home. I can say this as a fact because, you see, I am of the Viet Nam generation, I saw first hand the disrespect we showed to our returning soldiers.I lost two very good friends. I know that on their fatefull days they went straight to heaven, because they had spent their time in HELL! So, I say to all those that served Stand Tall and Be Proud......

Moving Wall

I'm a veteran and retired police officer and help out now as a reserve officer with the small town I live in. The Moving Wall is arriving in our town today and the chief called me last night to ask me to work the site where it's being erected for the next four days. Apparently, the woman coordinating the event has received a death threat and he's heard numerous horror stories about harassment of volunteers and even assaults occurring in places where the Wall has been displayed. Can anyone tell me whether these stories are real or are they more exagerations than fact? I'd appreciate hearing from anyone with experience with this. Sorry for using this forum for this but I hoped that someone here would be able to offer some insights and maybe some tips. Thanks
