I was in the Army during Vietnam 1970 - 1973 but didn't get sent to Vietnam. My brother, Michael W. Thomas was in Long Binh at the time and extended his duty 13 additional months to keep me from being sent there. I am grateful to Michael, Robert Dale Kavich my best friend who was KIA in Binh Dinh, and the thousands of heroes who sacrificed their lives, mental and physical well-being for our freedom. God Bless America!

My uncle was killed in South Vietnam, Binh Dinh on August 22, 1967. His death occured when a hostile booby trap was detonated. My only chance to get to know my uncle will be from any of his friends that he served with. If you served with Jim I would love to hear more about him and the kind of person he was. This is a void that I have had in my life since I was old enough to understand what had happened to him.
