My New Years Message to All. . . Contributed By Chaplain Howard Flexer On Wednesday, December 31, 2003 New Years Message 04 As I look forward to this New Year I think of what I have done in the last one. To me every year is an extra one and my number one thank you goes out to my God for allowing me all these extras ones. I hope I have been worthy of that gift. In the new one I hope to reach and help more of my fellow Veterans. They are my number goal as a Veterans Chaplain. I wish all of them a happy New Year and all the love and understanding they need to enjoy life as I do. So many good things have come to me in 03 that I do not know what I would ask of 04. My main want would to be able to share my joy of life with all those who feel that it's not worth the pain. I've had my share of pain and while at the times it was present I've felt Why Me? If I can start out with nothing and get to where I feel I am, I am blessed. Never give up what God gave all Combat Veterans that returned home, Life. If you use that gift wisely then all the pain was worth it. May God bless all of you and always remember if I can help in anyway please call on me. I'm sure I don't have all the answers but you never know I surprise myself even. Semper Fi, With God, Then&Now Chaplain
