FREEDOM

Our pastor told us of a powerful slogan he heard in Vietnam, it is worthy of repeating in these troubled times. "FOR THOSE WHO FOUGHT FOR IT, FREEDOM HAS A TASTE THE PROTECTED WILL NEVER KNOW" Having lost a husband in Viet Nam, I understand the cost of freedom, and I want to THANK ALL OF YOU THAT SERVED AND ARE NOW SERVING - so that we may enjoy freedom - MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND PROTECT YOU!

Type 2 is now considered to be a service connected disability and as such you are entitled to disability compensation and free care, treatment and prescriptions related to it from the VA. Contact your local VA representative or the Disabled American Veterans for help in fileing your claim. If you have not been tested for Type 2, DO IT NOW.

Poem: Dear Mom
. . Contributed By Robyn O'Reilly On Wednesday, June 23, 2004
It's a little cold and damp, Mom and the food is not so good The mud is thick and deep, Mom and soaked in human blood.Got a bullet in my leg,Mom but it doesn't hurt too much when i see a child, Mom without a leg or crutch. There coming down the hill, Mom a hundred thousand strong no matter how hard we fight and pray Mom we can't hold out too long.I know its kind of hard,Mom to break the news this way but we don't know,Mom for this might be the day I'd fight and die again,Mom to make this country free to face the world again, Mom in such a special way. Tell my little girl Mom I had to go away tell her that I love her, Mom and I'll see her again someday. Tell Mary not to cry, Mom Tell dad to be brave and when they bring me home,Mom write GLORY on my grave. I wish i could see you Mom again before I die To tell you that I love you,Mom I love you Good-bye.
