Williams was killed in January or February 1968 during the Tet Offensive. We served with Kilo Battery, 4th Battalion, 11th Marines during that time. My friend knows NOTHING about her dad as he died in Vietnam when she was only 4. His name was Janvier Michael Crow(e) and he was from either North or South Dakota but lived in IL at the time he was shipped out. Any information about him would be greatly appreciated. I would like to correspond with anyone who knew him. His life was too short. Your stories may tell us what really happened over there, as Ronnie didnt want us to worry. My mother has never been able to accept that he is gone, since she was not able to open the casket. She needs to know if someone witnessed his death and can verify it. always missing him . . Contributed By Sheila A Hensley-Hess On Thursday, September 23, 2004 I'm looking for any Veitnam Vet. who served with my brother.He was killed sept. 19th in the Nui Mieu mountians. His group,Company B,1st Battalion Airborne,173 Airborn Brigade. Mark(my brother) and his company was searching for a Viet Cong prision of war camp at the time of his death. Two of his fellow soldiers entered a cave and were fired on by the emeny. Mrak disregarded his pesonal saftey and entered the cave to save the lives of his buddies and complete the mission. While carrying one of the wounded to the cave enterance Mark was killed. If any soldier remembers this selfless young man I would love to here from you. As my Dad has never accepted his death. Caused by diabetes, caused by Agent Orange. He served in the US Army for over 5 years. He was recognized for heroism. Anyone who may have known him please contact me.
