198th Light Infantry PFC Richard Lynn Thomas . . Contributed By Mary Jo Propst On Wednesday, February 02, 2005 I am looking for someone who knew my brother. He died Sept 12, 1970 in Quang Ngai. He was 18 and had blonde hair, brown eyes, and went by Rich or Richey. He was trained as a medic and had only been in country for 3 weeks beginning Aug. 23,1970. Our family was never able to get any information beyond what was given in a letter from his CO. His unit had returned to camp from what action, we do not know, and he died accidentally that same afternoon. Please, if you read this and were there and remember him, contact me. It has been so many years, I still mourn, and want closure, for myself and for my parents,( now deceased) and for Richey. Thank you.

SFC Billy Charles . . Contributed By MSG Don Pruitt, US Army Retired On Sunday, February 06, 2005 Tomorrow will be 38 years since Billy was killed by a claymore mine in Vietnam. Billy was a great American and Soldier who loved his country and his family. He was a tough Airborne Ranger who entered the Army at 16 years of age. He was proud of the uniform and always volunteered to take on the most challenging tasks, no matter how risky. He would be extremely proud of our fighting men and women of today's military who are fighting the war against terriorism. Rest in peace. God Bless America.
