. . Contributed By jennifer paxton On Thursday, May 03, 2001
Thomas Elden Rose for me he is a mystery my mother was married to Tom during the war and losing him has scared her for life.My mother will not discuss him and has not saved any letters or anything to tell me about him no he was not my father but like a ghost who lived in my home all my life.I have have done lots of research on him and I do have his mother to tell me a little cause I do consider her my grandmother .What I dont understand is that my mother and him were soulmates made for each other totally in love.Vietnam took him from her and because of her loss there is my father and my brother and myself so for his life being taken my mom got two lives in return. What I need is for anyone who knew Thomas Elden Rose to please contact me any information would be appreciated so that maybe I can get to understand and know the ghost I grew up with. What I am looking for is to find out if he suffered and if he talked about my mom Barbara.Even though I am only 26 I have come to understand vietnam and to respect all the men and women that served in the services.

agent orange and the wall.Question
. . Contributed By Talmon J. Winnett On Thursday, May 03, 2001
Back in 94, my father passed away due to cancer caused by exposure to agent orange. After his death, my mother wanted his name to be placed on the memorial wall, but the goverment told her that his name didn't belong on the wall, even though his tour of duty in vietnam is what led to his death. We are now finding out they may have lied to us. We've tried calling around to find out anything, but we just get the runaround. Please if anyone can give some information I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

In search of bumper Sticker
. . Contributed By Jon Ewing On Monday, May 07, 2001
I am a son of Vietnam veteran Sergeant Dan Ewing. My father is still alive living in SD. While on a school trip to Washington DC, I purchased a bumper sticker for him at the wall. It said "UNINVERSITY OF SOUTH VIETNAM SCHOOL OF WARFARE". He treasured the bumper sticker and wanted everyone to see it. He placed it on the bumper of his car for the world to read. Well a couple of years ago due to financial reasons he had to sell the car losing his prize possession. For the last two years I have been in search of this bumper sticker, but have been unsuccessful. He turns 55 this year I want to give this to him as a gift. If anyone can help me I would be in your debt.
