Was with company B-2/503rd (ABN) 173rd BRIGADE. Last communication was 1 July 1968. Was extending beyond his tour. A very old and special friend that I have searched every where for. Please advise if you know where he is or what happened to him.

I served proudly as a platoon leader in and company commander of Co. 3, 3rd Bn., 39th Inf. in 1968 at Rach Kien and FSB Moore. Prior to that, I was Asst. S-1, 3rd Brigade Hq., Tan An. To all my brothers in arms, I salute you -- and remember you fondly! I would love to hear from you.

During late winter/early spring of '68, I commanded 3rd Platoon Charlie Company 3rd Battalion 1st Infantry 11th Light Infantry Brigade. We operated out of LZ Liz in Quang Ngai Province. I was badly WIA 6/12/68 and evacuated out of country. I spent 18 months getting pieced back together at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, D.C. and was retired as a result of my wounds. I was 20 when I was hit. Were we that young and did we walk on the edge of a razor blade for so long? To all of my fallen comrades, I love you. "I have beheld the agonies of War through many a weary season; seen enough to make me hold that scarcely any goal is worth the reaching by so red a road."

She is the Mother of SP4-E4 Keith Allen Campbell from Arlington,Virginia.Her nams is Esther Gates and she now lives in Texas.Keith served with the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vietnam and was K.I.A Feb.8,1967 participating in operation Big Spring.(1) Bobby Jones,(2)Albert Abney,(3)George Genes,(4)Aibert A. McMillian,(5)Walter Williams(6)John D. French (7)Preston Isaac (8)James Bockowski (9)David Barber (10)Elijah Fields,and (11)Larry Decunto.Also I served with the 101st Airborne Division in 67 & 68, C/1/501.I would like to here from anyone who served in 1/501 inf.

During the Winter/Spring of '68, I commanded 3rd Platoon Charlie Company 3rd Battalion 1st Infantry 11th Light Infantry Brigade.We forayed out of LZ Liz in Quang Ngai Province.I was terribly wounded in June of '68 and spent 18 months in the hospital getting put back together.I was retired as a rsult of my wounds.All these years later, the magnificent courage and sacrifice of my men stuns me to this day.For my brothers who died in the distant Jungle, I love you."The prayers are said and the people rest for sleep is there and the touch of dreams is over all." Hi, I was looking for someone who knew SGT. Richard E. Powell- 173rd Airborne Brigade(Army). He died in Vietnam in December 19 1966. He was from Royersford Pennsylvania.
