SGT James Lawrence Suydam
. . Contributed By WilliamJ. LanscheOn 04/30/97:
Jim was a childhood friend of mine who taught me alot aboutlife. In one of his letters, he wrote "If you get drafted you have a realgood chance to be infantry and come to Nam and that is one thing you don'twant." He wrote about how horrible the war was, and how letters from hisfamily and friends kept him strong. He loved sports and was a great softballplayer, leading his team in batting stats. He wrote how hungry he was forplaying, "I'll tear the cover off the ball." I will always have a placein my heart for Jim never forgetting his wisdom. He was always lookingto help his family & friends.
