ANY INFORMATION . . Contributed By Cat On Saturday, August 28, 2004 My father's best friend, William "Bill" Justice was KIA in Vietnam. I am unsure of the date but he was from Columbus, Ohio and I would love to know if anyone know anything about him so I can give it to my dad. Dad got to visit The Wall and broke down and finally grieved over the loss of his best friend, a friend closer than a brother who never got to come home. Thank you soooo much to those of you who served I would not be here today nor would my children, if it wasn't for you. We love you and God Bless you.
DELBERT REESE . . Contributed By Cheryl Kutheis On Monday, September 27, 2004 Just found the following (actually found two) article from the 'Lead Belt News' in Flat River, now Park Hills, Missouri. Delbert was a close friend of the family, and I have been looking for this information for awhile. I had hoped to place it at the traveling Wall when it was in Cahokia, Illinois, but just found it in a box of keepsakes --- "DELBERT REESE KILLED IN VIETNAM". 'Mr. and Mrs. William Reese of 600 4th St., in Esther were notified Monday that their son, Delbert L. Reese was killed in action in Vietnam lat Friday, Feb. 2, at 1:30 pm [1968]. Delbert, aged 20, a graduate of Esther high School entered the Army in 1966 and had been stationed in Vietnam for 6 months. The family was notified Tuesday, this was Delbert's first trip out and was leading his men through the streets of Pleiku and was shot with a rifle by a sniper. The body will be brought back here for burial and the Caldwell Funeral Service will be in charge of arrangements.' Does anyone know of this.was anyone there?. Remember - Friday, February 2, 1968, 1:30 PM Pleiku. God Bless All of You! (after today, 9/27/04, my email will change to Jarrot10@sbcglobal.net)
