Hello Jim, TODAY Ken and I visited your grave in Oak Hill Cemetery, again. It has been 45 1/2 years since we last visited your grave, with your Mom and family. Ken met Peggy and me, in Lawrence, and we wanted to visit YOUR Grave one more time! WE still miss you, and think of you each year many times. Ken and I will never FORGET you! WE were my Mom's THREE MARINES!

46 Years Ago Today
Jim, another year has passed, now 46 years since that fateful day May 10th, 1967 on Operation Beaver Cage. WOW, how this world has changed, but WE ALL from C/1/3 will NEVER FORGET YOU. Tell your Mom, that her friend Peggy, and I are seeing each other again, as we are both widowed. Think you remember Peggy too. Continue to RIP, and Guard those Gate of Heaven. 45 YEARS ago today May 10th, 1967 RIP Jim
JIM, 45 Years ago today, I saw you walking forward in the morning, that was the last time I saw you, then the Company got Hit. After hearing you were Hit, I don't remember much about the day, but did help carry you that night to the LZ. I said MY Good Bye, and told you to RIP. Hope you have RIP all these years, and now that your Mom has been in Heaven with you for 3 years, maybe it is easier on you both. Burkitt, Bacon, Bill Taylor, and I just finished a 14 Day trip back to Vietnam between April 24th and May 8th. We were in the Area of Operation Beaver Cage, and talked about you. May 10th, 1967 was a TUFF Day for the Battalion, and CHARLIE Company, as we lost 22-KIA and 88-WIA that day with 3 Posthumously Awarded NAVY CROSSES. Your Gun Team Squad Leader Cpl Sanders, was Awarded one. Know ALL Your Marine Buddies are THINKING about you today, as we always do! RIP MY BROTHER, see ya one of these day. Tell your Mom, I said hello!

Hello JIM! Thinking about YOU. Heard your Mom, (Pat) joined you, in Heaven last May 8th, (2008) So you Both, are Together again. She sure, missed you, all those years, but I kept in contact, with her. Burkitt and I went, to see your Family, in Lawrence, Kansas, in April 1968. We visited, your Grave Site and also, saw John Hughes, again. WOW! That was, a long time, ago. Burkitt, Bacon and I were talking, about You, at the 3rd, Marine, Division Reunion, in San Antonio, Texas, in August! Continue, to Rest in Peace and Know, you will, NEVER be Forgotten. JIM, I will never FORGET YOU and Remember YOU, each Year, on May 10th. You were, so Young, like the rest of US. That was a TUFF morning, on May 10th, 1967, on Operation, BEAVER CAGE, in Quang Nam, Province, RVN.. After hearing of your Fate, my day, was a Daze. I Carried your Body, that night and said, my Good Bye. You were a GREAT Marine, JIM and will, ALWAYS be Missed. Jim, you were My Friend, My Buddy and like a Brother, to ME and My Family, We will, NEVER Forget YOU. I still keep in touch, with Your MOM and Family. The other GUYS, from Charlie, Company, 1st, Battalion, 3rd, Marine Regiment, 3rd, Marine Division, WILL NOT FORGET YOU either.
