Bob Mabry bobmabry@verizon.net Butch's buddy, in 3rd, Recon 6815, Falcon Crest, Sachse, TX., 75048, USA You get to really know a guy, when you're roommates. We were the same age, both married and shared a passion, for SCUBA. As the Battalion, Diving Officer, I could get him the 'SCUBA fix,' he needed and life was good, until we parted ways.... Butch, to RVN. and me, to 'The World.' Jim Anderson, one, of Butch's escorts on his journey home, wrote me, the letter. It was, a profoundly sad, day. Butch was, one, of the mostly profoundly alive guys, I've known. His wife and child were always, in his conversation. I have some photos and one keepsake, I'd be willing to part with, for those two. Semper Fidelis! Good job, Marine. Apr 14, 2009 |
