I had served on Major Hunt's Staff as S-3 Air for less than 10 Days when he was KIA. I had just talked with him by Land-Line less than 5 minutes before the incident. I have never forgotten that moment. He was truly an Officer and a Gentleman.

In Honor of my Grandfather
Richard was my grandfather and I bet he would have been a great grandfather if he was still with us. I shared the etching with my friends today at school and they thought it was cool.

Honoring my Dad
I just returned from visiting the Wall and creating an etching of Dad's name to give to my daughter, his granddaughter. He was killed when I was a baby and she'll never know him but we keep his service and sacrifice alive. Thanks to all who honor his memory and service.

I was with you when you when you were hit and I tried to be with in those moments and do what I could. You were a great officer, man and friend. I think of you often. Knowing you, I know you found peace.

Dickie was older 14 years older than I and I still got to go to Vietnam as well. I was luckier than he was. I saw him when I was very young but have been told he was a great guy and obviously a very brave one. He is remembered.
