I frist wore your braclet when I was in high school and many years after. You were shot down on my birthday and that was also the year my mom died from cancer. Every birthday I think of you. I wonder if you were ever found? Now I know. Now all four of my children are now serving or have served our country and had to go to war more times than I like to remember. Capt. Peterson you will never be forgoten thank you for serving our country.

wore MIA/POW bracelet with his name
My MIA/POW bracelet has Capt. D. Peterson's name. I don't recall when I got the bracelet - sometime in the early 70's when I was in Junior High. This tangible evidence of his status as an MIA (and all the associated thoughts about his family) brought home the war to an otherwise clueless teen ager, in an otherwise clueless circle of adults and friends. I hope this provides some small comfort to his family and friends - that he is not forgotten.

Not Forgotten
I received Captain Peterson's bracelet in 1972. While I don't wear it every day, the bracelet has remained in my possession despite many, many moves. Throughout the years, I will search the internet to see if he has been found. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Wishing you peace.

I too served in the US Air Force and wore Capt Delbert Peterson's POW MIA bracelet during those years. I thought of him often since that time and I was very sad to learn he did not make it back. God Bless you Capt Peterson!

I got my bracelet with your name on it while a freshman in college. I wore it always until it finally broke into two pieces, several years later. It is safe and sound in my memory box. I hope you are safe and sound, Delbert, whether on this earth or in the arms of God. You would be 72 years old, now. One day, I hope to say, 'Welcome home!'

I think about Delbert all the time.
I wore his braclet 4th and 5th grade. He was importaint to me and became more important when my son fought in Iraq. I am 49 years old now and still he was an importaint person in my life even if I never met him. My son made it back. God blesss his family. My prayers are with you.
