I know he tried......
My Uncle's name appears just above yours on the wall (Walter Singleton). I know he saved several of his fellow Marines on that dreadful day in March of 1967, and I am sure he tried to get to you as well. May God bless your family and friends left behind. I know 'Zeke' did his best before he was taken down as well. Rest in Peace - Semper Fi!

I today wish to with all in wittiness and the Lord, I end with this Prayer, From one that did so little to one that gave his all for give me for taking so long to pay my respects and thanking you publicly for your service and friend ship. As my NCO, I can not believe your leadership helped bring a lot of us home. As I ask each day for God to keep you and Mac.
