Sammy Tanner tanners@hcol.net close friend and school mate 722 Perryville Rd, Perryville , Tn 38363 Decatur Sir: Larry Joe and I went to school togather played togather, and were paddled togather on several occations in school. I did not know when Larry Joe went into the service as I was serving at that time. I returned home and as I got off the bus, another friend Frankie Masterson was getting on. Frankie told me of Larry Joes death. This was very hard for me as well as many other of Larry Joes friends, because it seemed as though we were losing so many in such fast pace sometimes it took a while for the reality to set in. I am very proud to have known Larry Joe amd to have had him for a friend. SAMMY TANNER Friday, March 17, 2000 |

Jim Cheatham cheatham@sheltonbbs.com Cousin 891 St. Ann New Madrid,Mo. 63869 U S A Great Guy Larry was a cousin, but felt more like a brother. He was a few years younger. We were very close. It seemed every step I made he was behind me. I missed him when he went to Flint MI to live with his aunt. I was on river boat on the Ohio River when I got word of his death. This was a hurt that would never go away. I miss him very even today. We called him Jo Jo. Hey Jo Jo I miss you. Cousin Jim Cheatham Friday, February 18, 2000 |
