I attended OCS with Lieutenant Allen and remained friends until his death. He was a tremendous guy. He was from a small town in Ohio, played college football, and served in the Peace Corps where he was stationed in Columbia.
During the 9 months we served together in Quantico we partied a lot. He was a good looking guy with an engaging smile. In short he was a 'chick magnet' so I always positioned myself near him.
I think of him a lot. When my time comes, he will be one of the first guys I'll look up.

Never a Moment are YOU forgatten
Even though is it Memoral Day 2010 the Allen family never stops thinking of you. It is a very warm hazy monring here at the cemetery as we stand and recite the Our Father and Hail Mary for you and Grandpa & Grandma Allen. Tears never fail to roll down our cheeks and the lump in our throats thinking of the ultimate sacrafice you gave for us and country. We are sure that you and all the others are experiencing the glorious precence of God. You are always in our thoughts, hearts and memories. We will all see you again some day soon.
