Another year has pasted. You are still remembered. This past year has been interesting. I spent time talking to our other brother Al (Rat). Also had contact with with your sister (Karen) and beautiful daughter Sandi. You would be proud of her and her life. From what little I know about her she is a special person and wants to know more about you. You will never be forgotten and I will see you again. Gone but not forgotten. Robert

REMEMBERING THIS DAY, 39, YEARS, AGO
It is almost, 5, P.M., June 6, 2010. I think of you often, but especially, on this date. We shared, a time in our lives, that can only be explained, by you and I. In a country, far, from home and family, we were charged with serving, our country, no matter, how we felt. All of those that served, with us, in 5th, Infantry, had the ultimate, mission, in seeing, that we all, returned home. In that mission, each, of those that served, with you, failed you and those, that loved you. However, you were not, left on foreign, soil but with heavy hearts returned, to the homeland. We did, our best, but best is not always, good enough. To your family, I can only, say, that my life is better, because, of you. I will, see you, again someday.

i should, have been there, with you
God, took me away from you, for seven days. you told me, not, to go awol., while i was in danang, getting my ticket to come, home, on leave. my nightmare dream, on the cold, floor, of the danang, airport, did become, a reality. on my return, to charlie, two, i was told, of your death. i was not, there, but i, was there. your legacy, goes on, as i wrote and still write, of you. many younger people know you, as a dedicated person who, was called and answered, the call. you are missed, by me and others, but we will, meet again. the rat

I think of him, often. Even, after 38, years, I still remember, his smile and all the times, we shared for such, a short period, of time. I can only imagine, how much his family, has missed him, over the years. From my point, of view, he was and will always, be a friend. I know, that people cross paths, in this world, for a reason and I think, ours crossed just, to share a friendship.

Not Forgotten
My father served, with PFC., Ballance and recently, told me of some, of his memories, while they served there. For anyone, that may see this, that is a relative... PFC., Ballance has, never been forgotten. For anyone, that reads this, that served with him, please contact me. I have only, started, to understand, what you all, went through, there and would like, to help my father, by reuniting him, with survivors, or relatives, of PFC., Ballance. He spoke very highly, of him and still cries, for him... as does my family.

“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. “He which hath no stomach, to this fight, let him depart. But we in it, shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless you, for your Sacrifice!!!
