ROBERT JONES slow_pitcher@yhoo.com Served with him, in Viet Nam 1650, N.C., HWY., 152, WEST, CHINA GROVE, N.C., 28023, USA I think of him, often. Even, after 38, years, I still remember, his smile and all the times, we shared for such, a short period, of time. I can only imagine, how much his family, has missed him, over the years. From my point, of view, he was and will always, be a friend. I know, that people cross paths, in this world, for a reason and I think, ours crossed just, to share a friendship. Jun 24, 2009 |

Stan Meeks stan_meeks@inetw.net Vietnam Buddy Old Town, FL., 32680, USA We flew from Ft. Lewis, to Da Nang, together and at the Repo Depot, we pissed off, the Command, Sargeant Major, together. He promised to get us, as far away, from him as he could. He did, we went to Recon., HHC., 1/61, 5th, Mech., at the northern, most firebases, in Vietnam, A4 and C2. When I walked point, he was my slackman. When he was killed, I was home, burying my mother. We had promiced each other, that when, we made it, home, we would buy, new Harleys and ride, across counrty, together. The promise was kept, in 1990, when I rode, to our platoon's reunion, in Las Vegas. I carried a tracing, of his name, from the Wall, in my wallet. Saturday, February 28, 2004 |
