Gary Floyd gfloyd67@gmail.com childhood buddies, classmate, best friend
Gary Wayne Litton was truly a gentle spirit. We grew up in the small northern Kentucky town of Crescent Springs. We walked to grade school, hiked in the woods, threw snow balls and double dated. We had our first beer together. We were very cool driving around in his fathers 1962 Rambler Classic. Gary was loved by all who knew him. He left behind many wonderful memories for those who crossed his path. I am grateful to say that he was my friend. I think of Gary often and at times feel his presence. He died just 'one' day before his 20th birthday! Gary, you left us way too soon. Thanks for the memories and I love you. Saturday, December 26, 1998 |

Dale Konieczka drkklk@hotmail.com Fellow Marine, friend Mukwonago, WI 53149 USA Fellow Marine, fallen but not forgotten Gary and I were in the same Mortar squad. Our unit was assaulting a village across the Cua Viet River. We came under fire as we started to cross the river on Amtracs. In the heat of battle our squad became separated. When we regrouped later I learned that Gary was dead. I only knew Gary for about 9 weeks but during that time came to know he was a gentle person not like the tough Marine image. He shared his letters from home with us. Just a nice guy. 10/23/01 Tuesday, October 23, 2001 |
