Doc was always there for all of us
I was new to Charlie battery at FSB Bastogne in April 69 and Doc made the "newbie " fit in. He did a great job and made that place a little more friendly. when we were hit on Mother's day weekend just before the rest of the battrey was to move to FSB Blaze and help in the "Hamberger Hill" op. we got it and Doc was busy helping the wounded when the ammo and projo bunkers blew. He was hit as he helped others in the aid post and even badly wounded he still tried to get up and keep doing his job.His death was a real blow to the battery as we were all really close. I've thought of him every day for 32 years
