I served with Lon in Vietnam. Really a great man. Happy, smiling, and easy going. But, when things got serious he was up to the task, and unafraid of anything.

Too Soon
I just wanted to say that this man is and will always be a part of my father's life. He was his best friend and at the time that he died my father was at the Black Sea in the Republic of Turkey. When my father found out he was already out of the service and living back in Texas. My father has a lot of fond memories of this man. He was a pallbearer at his funeral and is buried in Corsicana,Tx. He will never be forgoten! I wish that everybody felt the same way that I do! PV2 MINTER,SHON,C. U.S. ARMY
