Julie Gray mtnjul@idcomm.com had his bracelet Littleton , CO U.S.A. It saddens me to find Major Claxton's name on this website. At age 12 or 13, I got his bracelet. All of these years have gone by and still I wondered. Am no longer in possession of the bracelet, but will never forget Major Charles Claxton. My 19 year old nephew just left for the Navy. He too desires to serve his country. My pride is limitless for him as is my thanks to Maj. Claxton for making the ultimate sacrifice in the service of our country. Friday, April 23, 2004 |

Sue Tribble stribble@qconline.com 701, 23rd, Avenue, Ct., Moline, IL., 61265, USA I bought Maj., Claxton's, MIA., bracelet @ 1970, when I worked, at Quonset Point, RI. and wore it, for several years, before finally putting it in, a jewelry box. I often wondered, about him and prayed, for him. I recently found, the box and bracelet and was saddened, when a search, found his name, as a casualty, on the Wall. I want, to add, my belated condolences and grateful, thank you, to Maj., Claxton's family. I hope, they know, that his name and sacrifice, is not forgotten. Monday, May 31, 2004 |

sue van steinburg LJVanSilver@msn.com 8271, Carnegie Avenue, Westminster, Ca., 92683, Orange Remembering, a hero I have read the comments, from the others who faithfully, wore, the bracelet bearing the name, of Major Claxton. I received mine, like them many, years ago. I always held the hope, that he had been returned, safely, to his loved, ones. I'am sad to read, so many years, later, that this was, not, to be. May, his bravery and willingness, to serve, his country, never be forgotten. There were many, offers, to return, the bracelet bearing his name, to his family. So many years, later, this seems such a futile, gesture, however this small rememberance may, be something, they would appreciate. If you are not able, to reach me by "email," please feel free, to contact me, via., my address and I will, send it, to you immediately. Sincerely, Sue Van Steinburg Thursday, April 11, 2002 |

Mark Owen mowen2@juno.com Rantoul, Il., 61866, USA I too, have worn, the braclet, of Charles P. Claxton. I believe I received, the bracelet around, 1972, or 73 and I, only recently have removed it, after reading, the storie of his fate, from doing a web serch, at the wall.org.. I'am proud, to have worn, this bracelet. In the 70's I requested, a bracelet, of someone from my home, state & received his. This bracelet was, the only peice of jewlery, that I was, allowed, to wear while gong through, Air Force, Basic Traning, out, of respect, to this man. His name is also located, on the Springfield, Il., Vet., Mem., Twice listed, on the Air Force, Wall & on the CMOH., Piller, in the center. May, God Bless Him & His Family, for the sacrafice, that he made. Thursday, July 18, 2002 |
