Thank You, Lt., Byrnes
Dear Lt., Byrnes, I want to thank you, for the great sacrifice that you have paid for the freedom, of every American citizen. I'am a student in High School, in Sacramento, County Ca. and we are doing this as a High School, Posting Project, for world history. I on the other hand am doing this as much more, than just a student with another assignment, that has to be done. To me this means a lot more, because I had an uncle that was, in the Vietnam War and he about lost his life, in battle. I appreciate the actions, that you took in trying to keep our country, safe and secure. It is just a great feeling to know, that we are being protected by people like you, that are willing to lay it all down, on the line and pay the ultimate sacrifice, for this reason. I thank you, again and may God Bless. Posted by:

I remember the day
I remember the day. There were so many people there, to see you off, one last time. Not like when you left, to go and no one knew. You are always, in my thoughts and prayers. I visit your grave each time, I visit Sacramento.

I REMEMBER
I was only 15. I knew the family. I remember it, like it was yesterday. I went to the memorial service, and had to stand outside, the Prestion Church. The Fathers officiated the service. I remember, the planes flying over and the gun salute. It was something that just didn't happen, in the little town of Carmichael, Ca., But it did. It hit home in a big way. It doesn't matter, what people thought of the war, you were and are one, of our own and will, never be forgotten. I know I was young, but I do remember. I remember how sad, everyone was. But I will say, I'am proud of you. You fought for my freedom. Thank you. I did exchange letters, with your Mom and father, We lost contact years ago. But I saved a poem your Mom wrote, about cooping with your loss, I just lost my son then. You are not forgotten. "Don't look back," Jesus said, as he was directing my way ahead. "Don't look back to days of old, days that were filled with pain untold." "Go forth my child," He said to me. "Go forth with the plan I have for thee." "My plan for you is your very own, the one I died for is yours alone." "So remember child, your special to me. I saw you that day from Calvary's tree." "I knew that day, if you were the only one, I'd go to the cross your sin to atone." "So now my child, you have been set free, go sin no more, live your life for me.

Pray, For Them
Bob Byrnes : Let us pray… Lord Jesus Christ, we pray for all, our Vietnam, War heroes, who are now in Heaven. We will always, remember and honor them. They are great, heroes and we love them. Lord, continue, to bestow upon them, the great honor, respect and love, that they deserve. Lord, we pray, for the family members, of these heroes. Grant them peace, Lord, for they are, great, American heroes, also. Comfort, these family members and provide all, that they need. We love these family members, Lord. Let them feel, our love and let them, feel your love, Lord. Shine your love, upon them. Let them feel your presence, in all, that they do. Lord, we pray, for our hero, Vietnam, War veterans. These heroes, are very special, people and are among, the greatest, war heroes, in American history. Lord, give them comfort, Give them peace. Lord, help any, of our Vietnam veterans, who are suffering, PTSD, anxiety, depression, or any other problem. Lord, heal them. And walk, with our Vietnam veterans, wherever they may go, and let them always feel, your presence. Lord, we pray, that our Vietnam veterans, receive ALL of the honor, respect and love, that they deserve. Remind, these Vietnam veterans, that they are heroes. Lord, we pray, that everyone in pain, because of the Vietnam War, is healed. May you continue, to bless our fallen heroes, their family members and our Vietnam veterans. Amen.
