Bravery, courage, and heroism are just some of the traits that describe Bob Byrnes He was a great man, and I truly respect him He died for his country, the red, white, and blue He risked his life and fought very hard too, because of his bravery The sacrifice that he made truly means a lot to me Although Bob Byrnes died, he saved the lives of others Bob Byrnes was truly a soldier like no other THANK YOU 1LT. Bob I can't say how many times I wonder what you'd be doing or where you'd be living. I know you're with me always and that you're watching over us. Although I've only been to the Wall once, my goal is to make another trip soon.
Bob I support you and your willingness to serve our country without resolve. Bob you gave all of us the freedom we have to live our lives and I will always be thankful for all our service men and women who give their all, that we may live in peace.

GOOD NEIGHBORS
I was able to visit my Grandparents graves, Sacramento, Ca., for the first time. I noticed the nearby grave of Lt Robert Scott Byrnes K.I.A. 02-09-1968, with so many flags. Very happy to have Robert and his family so close by.

It doesn't seem possible that so many years have passed since we served together. Rest well my friend.
Bob was a fine soldier and officer I regret waiting so long to thank his family for his and their ultimate sacrifice. We served together in a very special unit that saved a lot of lives. May God hold you in his everlasting arms.
