I've thought of Bob, over the past 40, years, many times over and over, the years and puzzled at the mysteries of how one person, lives and the other dies! Rest In Peace, My Friend.

May the God who created all, lead us in ways that make for peace, among us. Bob, your sacrifice is remembered, even by those of us, who seek peace, through other avenues.

Now, after 40, years, I still think, of Bob and remember, what a friendly smile, easy going personality and genuine good guy, Bob was. I'am so sorry that Bob didn't, make it home alive, because I know, that we would have had, a life long friendship and to this day, I miss him. Bob was, a very fine officer and a very good friend, to all, that knew him.

A New Point Of View
Lt., Bob Byrnes thank you, for a job well done. Recognizing, Vietnam War was an assignment, given to me by one, of my teachers and is called, the Posting Project. I'am a senior, in High School, in Sacramento, California. I thought this would be an effective assignment, that my classmates and I have taken, to heart and are completing, our assignment and continuing, to remember these brave soldiers, even after the requirements, are met. I, personally, have taken a whole new perspective, to this project. I think, we as a student we are creating an interest and proving, that we can be mature adults who realize, what these men/women did, for our country. I know, that I for one, am truly grateful, for these people. 1st, Lt., Robert Scott Byrnes, ( Bob) I thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Kaitlyn Paxton
