Mary Helen (Reilly) Rose Lebanon, Lebanon, Oregon Bob and I were classmates, in the 1963, graduation class, of La Sierra, High School, Carmichael, Ca., I remember Bob, as a pleasant, quiet young man. I now, have grandchildren. I wish, that he too had lived, to know this joy. I pray, that these grandchildren never have, to experience war. Mary Helen (Reilly) Rose Feb 7, 2008 |

Wallace Gossett jr. Friend, Basic Training, Fort Ord Bob was one of the first guys, I met in Basic Training. I was a Southern white and he was a Califorian, in a time when segregation, was just ending. Everyone liked Bob. He loved to sing. I can still hear him singing cadence, "You had a good home, but you left (your right) . . A great soldier, Bob was acting squad leader, in basic. When he smiled, his whole face lit up. He remains one of the most unforgetable faces, of my Army career. I just knew he would be one, of the best officers. Feb 6, 2008 |
