I never got to meet you, Uncle Charlie, but I've heard so many wonderful things about you. I got to spend many summer vacations with your family and they are very special people. Thank you for serving our country so that we could live in freedom. You have been classified as MIA, and I've never given up the hope that you will be found and would be able to return home to your family.

I went to Cary High School in Cary, NC. I was in the ROTC program. Somehow, I got his bracelet while there and I still have it. Rarely take it off, ten years later. You are not forgotten.

I picked SFC Lewis' bracelet up from a slew of bracelets in 1986 at Ft Benning, GA. I wore it for years and misplaced it. About two weeks ago I was thinking about it and considering finding another. My wife found it today while cleaning out an old jewelry box. I did a little digging and found out Charlie lived in the same town I do, which I never knew. If any family members read this post please shoot me a message. I would love for you to have this bracelet, for a child or grandchild. To a true patriot and hero, Charlie Lewis, may my service to this nation live up to your example.
