Fallen, But Not Forgotten
Like Joe I grew up, on Brandt Ave., Peekskill, N.Y.. I lived, at 657 and Mike lived, at 655. Our houses, were close together. I can recall, when after dinner, Mike, or I would call out to one, another, from our bedroom, windows, to wait for each other, before going, to the local, baseball field, because we had, to either wash, or dry, the dishes. As Commander, of VFW., Post, 8328, Yorktown Heights, N.Y., I remembered Mike, in my speech, on Memorial Day, 1996. I have posted, on the web-site, Together We Served Marine section, in the Profile, of my friend, Hank Picariello, (Pic) Sgt., A tribute, To Mike. Fallen, But Not Forgotten.

The PHS., Alumni page, contains a section "Fallen Heroes," in which, we honor, the casualties, of World, War 2, Korea and Viet Nam. The pages, are dedicated, to those gallant young men, who made the ultimate sacrifice, so, that others could live on, in freedom. They must, never be forgotten. We seek, any information, about any of these departed, friends - especially pictures, or reminisces of their time, in service, or growing up, in Peekskill, Thank you. Like a big, brother, to me
I used, to be Mike's, neighbor, on Brandt Ave., in Peekskill, in the late, 50's/early 60's. I was 3, years younger, than Mike and he treated me like, a kid brother. Taught me, how to throw a baseball, catch and hit. My fondest, memory was, he and I, walking home, from the Assumption, Church, on Sundays, singing, "Travelin' Man." I was, terribly upset when I read, of his sacrifice, in the Evening Star. Seeing the photo someone posted, of him really brought me, back, to that time. My thoughts and prayers, go out, to his family and friends.

For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless you, for your Sacrifice!!!

Just Remembering Mike
I knew Mike, went, to grade school, with him. That was, the Assumption School, in Peekskill. I knew, the family too. They lived on Union Avenue, up near, DePew Park. Mike was, always laughing and having a good time, fun, to be around and fun, to know. I was proud to learn, that he had, joined the Marines, he became one of us, one, of the Few, one, of the best. My sister, had visited, The Wall in D.C., taking a picture, randomly. Coincidently it happened to be, the section with Mike's name, on it. Miss You, Mike, OOH-RAH!
