My father served in Vietnam. He died Jan. 11, 1997 from Agent Orange exposure. I would like to know if any Veterans from this War knew my father, and if any of you know people I can contact about getting his name on the wall. I have had trouble with the VA and politicians and would entertain any suggestions on how to get this accomplished. Thank you.

"We Were Soldiers."

Anyone who doesn't know about the upcoming Mel Gibson/ Randall Wallace movie MUST see it. It comes out March 2002. Based on the Ia Drang Battle that BRGAN the Vietnam War, this true story is about a brotherhood and family bond so close, so pure, so willing to fight for the fredom we all have. Freedom is not free.my father made the ultimate sacrafice. This story honors these men.and shows how it affected the loved ones left behind. My father was one of those heroes. After 9/11 there has been an outburst of patriotism, I have had it all along, and am proud to see us all pulling together, and supporting our troops. I missed out on so much. empty halls that never echoed my fathers footsteps. Blankets that would have smelled better if he had tucked me in, giggles and swings and tickling and cries that would have been caressed by his love.you see, freedom is not free. Let us remember all our fallen heroes. God Bless. In memory of Sgt Jack Gell, and in honor of John Rangel, Garry Dunlow, Tony Nadal, Hal Moore, Joe Galloway, Bill Beck, John Clarke. and all the awesome men of the 1st Cav. "Gary Owen"

US Citizenship Granted to Service Personnel 1969
. . Contributed By Barbara On Friday, January 04, 2002
I am looking for any service personnel who became US citizens, while serving in Vietnam, on October 24, 1969 in a ceremony at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel in Honolulu. Would like to hear whatever details you can remember about that day. There were approx. 600 men and women who became citizens that day in what was written up in the Honolulu paper as the largest citizenship swearing in ceremony for US military personnel.
