Jackie Taylor You, Sir, Have Not, Been Forgotten! href="http://www.geocities.com/rememberance004">http://www.geocities.com/rememberance004
I had, the opportunity to visit, The Vietnam Memorial Wall. I was so overwhelmed, with sorrow and pain, that I could not hold, back the tears, for those heroes and their families, who lost so much. Though my visit, to the Wall, was a few years ago, I feel, that I left a piece, of my heart there. To honor those, who died, in the Vietnam, War and to say thank you, I created a small tribute, to those heroes. Please click, on the link above, to view, my website. Saturday, April 17, 2004 |

Bill Reeder creeder@adelphia.net Friend and fellow officer Buffalo, NY. Bernie, hardly a day passes, that I don't think of you. We were friends, together, in Vietnam for such a very short time, but I still feel, your loss and I'am privileged, to have known you. I was in the Operations Center, when the radio message came in, - "Oscar Three, Kilo, India, Alpha" and that message, stays with me today - as does the laughs, we shared together. We used to kid each other, because I graduated, from Carnegie Tech - but you proved through your bravery, to be a much better man than I. I have visited you, at The Wall and imagined, that you were there comforting me, as I remembered, you and our many comrades. God bless you. Tuesday, September 21, 2004 |

Anthony Tome aetome@aol.com Friend 5240, Sun Dial Place, Boulder, CO., 80301, U.S. You are always, on my mind Dear Bernie, Today, is Veterans Day. I have visited here often, to read any new messages, that your friends and comrades in arms, may have left. I researched, the Internet and found many details, of your last days in Vietnam. Your bravery and dedication to duty, came as no surprise. I have shed many a tear, over the loss, of a dear friend. Today, many young soldiers and Marines, are giving their lives, to preserve the freedoms, that you and I held so dear. I can only pay you, the highest compliment, that a former Marine can make - Semper Fi, my friend. Thursday, November 11, 2004 |

Gary Gresh greshgl@ioa.com friend 3, w., chippendale drive, Horse Shoe, NC., 28742, USA thinking of you Bernie: Thinking, of you today and how much fun, we had together at Indiantown Gap, back in 67- what a wild bunch we were. think, of you often and your practical jokes. I will always remember the day, we got stopped by the park police, for just being a bunch of wild guys, in a car! rest well my friend, you are remembered, as a great guy- much too young to have died, in a place called Vietnam. I had just finished my tour in Vietnam, when I learned of your death. Never knew how, to contact any of your family back then, since our only friendship, came via summer camp. rest well. Anthony Tome aetome@aol.com Friend 5240 Sun Dial Place Boulder, CO 80301 USA Reunited With An Old Friend I met Bernie at Duquesne. We were in ROTC and the Ranger Raiders together. In 1966, Bernie and I decided to enlist in the Marine Corps Buddy Program. Bernie, for his own reasons, decided to stay in school. I went, did my tour, served in Vietnam, and returned to Duquesne. Bernie was in his last semester and was about to be commissioned an officer. It was good to be reunited with my wacky, zany friend once again, if only for a brief period. After Bernie graduated and went into the Army, I lost track of him. A mutual friend informed me, several years later, that Bernie had been killed in action in Vietnam. I had always wanted to go to the Memorial to see his name however, I never made it there. Over the years, I have searched the Internet for a list of those killed in Vietnam. I finally found this site. I have finally found my friend who I have missed so much. Thursday, August 21, 2003 |

Richard Domencic rdomencic@gator.gasd.k12.pa.us College and ROTC., friend I met Bernie, at Duquesne University. We became friends, during our summer camp training, at Indiantown Gap, in 1967. He helped me immensely, through a really tough camp. I don't think, I ever, thanked him properly. I just want people to know, that he is missed by friends, beyond his family. You were way, too young and it's been, way too long. Thanks, Bernie, a little late and may you rest, in God's presence. Friday, January 03, 2003 |
