Denise   Fosher Family Friend of my Father Mayport, FL 32227 USA Bob Byrnes True Hero
I never knew Bob but my father was his friend. My father served two tours in Vietnam while in the Army. I've only heard good things about this hero and know that he is missed greatly. His bravery will not be forgotten and he will always be remembered as a hero. May God bless him.

Jeff   P Friend Carmichael CA 95608 Your sacrifice is not forgotten
Bob, We knew each other in high school although you were a year older. We passed in the halls, sometimes hung out with other friends. I just want you to know I think of you often and wonder what the future might have held for you. You are not forgotten, your sacrifice will always be remembered and we, your friends, fellows in arms and your country will always be grateful that you were part of us. Thank you, Jeff P.

Ruth   Driscoll Broken Arrow OK 74013 USA Thank You Bob
Thank you for your long career of service to this nation. Sadly, you didn't live long enough to see the winds of change that are sweeping our nation today change in attitude. Finally, after all these years Americans are supporting their troops as never before. We are speaking out against those who disrespect your generous gift of sevice, rebuking politicans that want to use war as a political football, honoring those who live with life long reminders of war and those who give their all. You are a precious gift of God. In reading the other posts I can see that you, Bob , were a man of honor, sacrifice and love. To care for your men as written here, well, you were a great soldier. Thank you. Thanks to Byrnes family, who I am sure miss you daily as they go on without you. God bless them for the sacrifice they gave in allowing you to be the soldier you were. Men like you make me proud to be an American. You are a shining example of our best.

I attended the Officer Basic Course with Bob. He was a kind, caring, intelligent man who went to Vietnam to serve his country. Bob went to do his part as a good American. To his family, which he loved and spoke about, I want you to know he was respected and admired. To those who knew him, he will never be forgotten Marc May 25, 2008 |

Teri   Hassel Carmichael CA 95608 Rest well brave solider for Bob
Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there I did not die. (Mary Frye – 1932) Rest well in Gods loving embrace brave solider. You Sir, are a True American Hero and are remembered by a grateful nation.
