Nathan   Borowy history assignment Southington, CT 06489 USA Memorial Day 2008 for Robert S. Byrnes of Carmichael Ca
I looked his name up Robert S. Byrnes under assignment by my history teacher, a veteran himself. And I have to say that, seeing this name now, , makes my heart sink. No matter who you are or what you did, death is a terrible thing, but being forgotten, or uncared for after the fact, is even worse. So, I may not know this man who fought, Robert S. Byrnes of Carmichael Ca., but I can say that he matters, and that I remember him this evening as I plug away at homework I should have done days ago. So, at least for a moment, Robert S. Byrnes , I bow my head in your memory and dedication. May you rest in peace, wherever you are now, . May you live on in our hearts Robert S. Byrnes of Carmichael CA..

Phil  Anninos 196th 68/69 E-3 Tujunga,Ca. 91042 USA Nice Guy
I don't remember much, its mostly a blur now. I remember Lt Byrnes as being a friendly happy go lucky kind of guy. I was only an E-3 then so we only spoke briefly. He always had a smile on his face. He must have made an impression because I still remember him. So many names I can't remember. Rest In Peace Lt Byrnes.

Jerry Stabler  nam 68-69 MSGT USMC Retired Fellow Veteran Carmichael CA 95608 Bob, although I never had the honor to meet you in person I have had the privelege of knowing your mother and father, prior to her leaving us to join you, whom I have the utmost respect for and also your brother whom I consider to be one of my friends. Having known these people has given me some insight as to who you are and I can only say I salute you sir, for everthing that you did, for all that you were, and more importantly, for all that you are. Take good care of your mom and dad Lieutenant. Simper Fi
