John   Bell May God hold you high in His arms. Carmichael CA 95608 Friend, friend of the Byrnes family,Fellow Vietnam Army Vet May God Bless You for your Sacrifice !!! My daughter visited the wall and looked up your name for me. Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice, you will never be forgotten. Almighty God, through the death of your Son on the cross, you have overcome death for us. Through his burial and resurrection from the dead you have made the grave a holy place and restored us to eternal life. We pray for those who died believing in Jesus and are buried with him in the hope of rising again. God of the living and the dead, may those who faithfully believed in you on earth praise you for ever in the joy of heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen ... Bob You will not be forgotten........

Guy  Jones- 196th 68/69 In Honor and Thanks New Berlin, WI USA Thank you so much for your contribution of your time, effort, and your life to this country!!! Lt Bob Byrnes : Thank you so much for all that you have done for this country ! It was my privilege and heartache to view the Vietnam Wall Memorial in Washington DC recently. The emotions were incredible and although we never had the chance to know one another in life I want to honor and thank you for your dedication and supreme sacrifice. Rest in heavenly peace Lt Bob Byrnes and know you are not forgotten and never will be.
A TEAR FOR THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR ALL
I stand before the WALL with a tear running down my face, it reflects the sorrow and pain of the heart.
As another tear rolls down my cheek it reflects the cold hard glare of black stone whose face has a chisel look.
With the falling of another tear you can see the boyish fun of old friends who are no more.
As I fight to hold back the tears their gentle hands reach out to my heart saying we are here for you.
With there touch my tears say I’m sorry that I came home and that you stayed behind.
As the tears flow I know that the boy I was then is no longer for only a man can cry for lost friends.
For I cry A Tear For Those Who gave Their All.
I am forever in your debt, and I will never forget you and all that you have done. And REMEMBER: "Even the smallest person can change the course of the future..." ~Galadriel.
Thank you! Lt Bob Byrnes

PAUL  WOLF a childhood friend Carmichael CA 95608 we played baseball, cowboys and indians and games of war as kids. i remember bob as a young man full of passion, we all served in viet nam as did others in our small-tight knit neighborhood. it's been a lot of years but one does'nt forget those who touched our lives at a young/tender age nor should we forget those who left us so long ago. i never got the chance to say good bye or how much bob meant to me, but i remember him-i honor his life, so if you can see this bob i'll see you in the future!

I think of all the guys and never forget how we took the point of patrols and you and your RTO saved hundreds, of lives that day. As a vietnam veteran my memories will always be with Lt Bob Byrnes and the loss his family suffered.
