Rick K Bob My friend, my neighbor and playmate. There is not a day, that passes without a thought, for you. I remember playing, cowboys and Indians, not thinking of going, to war. I always regarded you, as a brother as well, as a friend. Peace be with you, my valiant brother. I will, remember you always. Feb 5, 2008 |

Delta Dobbins Null I remember Bob, leaning against the pole, at 7'11 on Walnut Ave., after school drinking a Dr. Pepper. We girls were 5, or so years younger and we thought, he was very cute. It was me, Delta Dobbins and Lavonne Sanders and Sheri Drillen. I remember, he was very quiet. I moved to Houston, with my mother at the time of his death, 68 and was very sad to hear, about it. We were all, proud of him. I can still see him, plainly in my mind leaning, against that pole. God bless you, Bob for your courage and strength. Feb 5, 2008 |

Ginny Fulmer Sapp Although, I was only, in the eighth, grade, at the time and hardly knew him, I was one of many, in our small town, of Carmichael, to attend his funeral. (memorial service) It was a very crowded, event and very emotional. It brought the Vietnam War, a little to close, for comfort. I applaud, Mr. Bob Byrnes for serving, our country and giving his life, to uphold the values, our forefathers also fought, so valiantly for. I also commend, his family and think of them. Ashley Kiefer Lt., Robert S. Byrnes Dear Robert S. Byrnes, I would like, to take the time, to thank you, for all of your dedication, to our country, during the war. Leaving all, your belongings and family behind, to fight in a war, had to be a hard decision. It was a decision though, that was greatly, appreciated. If it wasn’t, for people like you, where would our country, be today? Thank you, for all your sacrifices you made, for this country. You will always, be remembered, as a hero. Thank you, Ashley Kiefer Feb 5, 2008 |

I would like, to thank you, with all my heart, for your courageousness and ability, to put the needs, of your country in front, of your own. You are a real, superhero. God Bless. Feb 5, 2008 |
